Ed Gamble
Ed Gamble is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. Ed stars as Georgie Carlton, a minor royal, in BBC America’s first original comedy commission Almost Royal. Following its success in the US, the show was later transmitted on E4 and returns for a second series in 2016.
In stand up, Ed has earned a Chortle Award in 2014 for Best Compere and provided national tour support for Greg Davies’ shows The Back of My Mum’s Head and Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog. Ed has also supported Russell Kane and Chris Addison.
Ed’s TV appearances include Dave’s One Night Stand (UKTV), Virtually Famous (E4) and Sweat the Small Stuff (BBCThree) and he has written for Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), Mock The Week (BBC2) and Ask Rhod Gilbert (BBC1) as well as writing for Man Down (Channel 4). Ed has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News, performing as both a solo stand up and alongside Ray Peacock as part of Peacock and Gamble. Ed Gamble and Ray Peacock are the only acts to make a return appearance on the show.
For five years Ed was co-writer and host of the iTunes topping and Chortle Award nominated Peacock and Gamble Podcast. Peacock & Gamble presented programmes for BBC Radio 4 Extra’s The Comedy Club and starred in Warm Up for BBC Comedy Online. Ed previously co-hosted two shows for Fubar Radio: Peacock & Gamble with Ray Peacock, and The Rock Show with Joel Dommett.
Ed appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe 2014 with his debut solo show, Gambletron 5000.
